WhatsApp Web and Desktop are desktop-based extensions of your phone’s WhatsApp account. Messages a person sends and receives are synced between your PC & your phone, and you can view messages on both devices.
If you want to use WhatsApp on a big screen, you need to scan the QR code and connect your smartphone to the computer. However, you should keep your phone close to the computer and the phone’s internet connection should be on. In a future update, WhatsApp web scan will allow users to log in to the web version of the app without requiring a smartphone. The update has been seen in the beta.
